Reports site an internal Apple email stating that employees will be required to show proof that they have received COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to enter offices or stores starting February 15th. Due to the "waning efficacy" of initial vaccine doses, employees will have four weeks to provide evidence they have received their booster shot once eligible.

The second half decline in PC sales in 2021 is being blamed on worldwide shipping problems and semiconductor shortages, factors that are affected other markets globally. Reports show a growth in lead times for some PC orders of up to four months. According to Gartner Research, the decline was the first year-over-year drop in the last six quarters.

New research published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases indicates that vaccinated individuals that become infected with COVID-19 are 50% less likely to experience long-lasting symptoms than unvaccinated individuals. This improved protection is in additional to the reduction in symptoms that the vaccination already provides to newly infected individuals.

A US District Court ruled that Locast didn't meet the definition of a nonprofit entity due to its use of funds from donations to expand into new markets. This ruling, in a copyright lawsuit by several major media companies, deprived Locast of its copyright law exemption, which prompted Locast's announcement that it would immediately cease operations.
